This camping and rafting trip packs the best of Rishikesh into three days from Delhi, with little leave needed. You meet the group and your Trip Lead at Akshardham metro station around 10 pm, travel overnight, and stop early in the morning at a Ganga ghat in Haridwar to watch the aarti before continuing to the campsite in Rishikesh.
Day 2 belongs to the river. After tea and breakfast at the camp you head out for white-water rafting on the Ganga, then take a short evening hike down to the river and finish the day around a bonfire under the stars. Day 2 River Rafting and Evening Hike

- This is a group trip: the meeting point is Akshardham metro station in Delhi around 10 pm on day 1, and the group leaves at the set time, so please arrive early.
- River rafting in Rishikesh is closed during the monsoon (roughly July to mid-September) and when water levels are unsafe; follow the rafting guides' instructions and wear the life jacket and helmet at all times.
- Camp facilities are simpler than a hotel's; carry a torch, a warm layer for the evening and quick-dry clothes for rafting.
- The order of sightseeing may change because of traffic, weather, water levels or local events.
- Transport is provided for the routes in the itinerary; extra trips or detours are charged separately.

Do I need rafting experience?

When does rafting run in Rishikesh?
Rafting usually runs from mid-September to June and stops during the monsoon, when the river is high and fast. October, November and March to May are the most comfortable months on the water, while winter rafting is colder but quieter. Book early for long weekends, when trips fill quickly.
