Day 1 Delhi to Mussoorie
- Our driver picks you up from the Delhi railway station or airport for the drive to Mussoorie (about 7 hours).
- Reach Mussoorie by evening and check in to your hotel.
- Spend the evening strolling along Mall Road, with its shops, cafés and views over the Doon Valley. Overnight stay in Mussoorie.

Day 2 Mussoorie Sightseeing
- After breakfast, set out on a day of local sightseeing in Mussoorie.
- Visit Kempty Falls, the town's best-known waterfall, and Mussoorie Lake, a small lake just outside the town with valley views.
- Walk through the woods to Mossy Falls and stop at Bhatta Falls, another popular cascade near the town.
- End the day at Company Garden, with its flowerbeds and shady lawns. Overnight stay in Mussoorie.

What is the distance between Dhanaulti to Mussoorie?
The city of Dhanaulti is located at a distance of approximately 25 km from Mussoorie, which is about an hour drive from Mussoorie through a trekking forest road. Just a little further away there is the base for the Surkanda Devi Temple at Kaddukhal, and in Day 3, you'll cover the walk to the Eco Park and Surkanda Devi Temple and do not have to dedicate too many hours in the car.
The correct time for a Mussoorie Dhanaulti trip is?
The best period of the year for nice days and walks is March to June, and September through November is when the mountain is in clear view and the air is crisp. December to February is cold and may offer some snow which is a welcome sight for many travelers through Dhanaulti, but roads may be slow. During July and August, there are strong rainfall and hill road landslides.
Is this pack appropriate for a family?
Yes. Short drives between stops, outings to the waterfalls and to the gardens and an Eco Park for kids. The ascent to the Temple of Surkanda Devi is steep; so those who are older, walk slowly, while others remain at the base of the temple. If you would like an upgrade to the hotels, or add a night we can do this upon request
How is life for them in Dhanaulti?
On your final night you stay in one of the hotels/ camp sites in Dhanaulti which is included in your quotation depending on your dates and availability. However, you're surrounded by deodar forest, hushed hillside amidst of which it is cool in the evening time, so prepare some warm things even in summer.
Are meals included in the package?
Each day breakfast is served in your hotel or camp. Of course lunch and dinner are not included so do try out the cafés around the Mall Road on Mussoorie and the local dhabas along the way. Confirm details of any dietary requirements and we will relay them to the hotels.
Can I extend the trip to Kanatal or Rishikesh?
Yes. Kanatal is a short drive beyond Dhanaulti and Rishikesh is a few hours away, so either makes an easy extension of one or two nights. Share your travel dates and the number of travellers, and we will send a revised itinerary and quotation.
