2 Nights 3 Days Vagamon Tour Package

3 Days / 2 Nights

Overview

Vagamon is the quieter side of Kerala's hill country – green slopes, a pine forest, tea gardens and misty ridges at about 1,100 metres, with far fewer crowds than Munnar. The 2 nights 3 days Vagamon tour package picks you up in Cochin and drives you about three hours into the hills, past the Inchappara Waterfall and the Karikadu viewpoint, with a free evening to wander the small local market.

Day two is a full excursion around Vagamon: the Pine Forest, Vagamon Lake, the rock shrine at Thangal Para, Kurisumala Ashram on its hilltop and Marmala Waterfall, ending with sunset at Mundakayam Ghat. The air stays cool even in summer, which makes Vagamon a good escape from the heat of the coast.

The short format suits couples, friends and families looking for a weekend in the hills, and travellers who have already seen Munnar. You stay two nights in a 3-star hotel with daily breakfast, travel in a private vehicle, and are dropped back at Cochin airport or railway station on day three.

Frequently Asked Questions

How far is Vagamon from Cochin?

Vagamon is about 3 hours by road from Cochin. The drive leaves the city behind and climbs into the hills, passing the Inchappara Waterfall and the Karikadu viewpoint, so the journey is part of the trip. Pick-up and drop at Cochin airport or railway station are included in the package.

What is the best time to visit Vagamon?

September to March brings clear views, cool days and green hills after the monsoon. April and May are still pleasant compared with the coast, which makes Vagamon a popular escape from the summer heat. The monsoon months bring heavy rain and thick mist, and some waterfall paths may close.

Is Vagamon good for a short couple's trip?

Yes. Two nights is enough to see the main sights at an easy pace, and the pine forest, quiet lake and sunset at Mundakayam Ghat suit couples well. The second day is the only full sightseeing day, leaving the first evening free for the local market and a slow dinner.

Is paragliding included in the Vagamon package?

No. Vagamon is known for paragliding, but it is not part of this package. Flights are run by licensed operators and depend on the weather and season. Tell us in advance if you are interested, and we will check whether it can be added at extra cost on your dates.

What should I pack for Vagamon?

Pack a light jacket or sweater for the cool evenings, comfortable walking shoes for the pine forest, Thangal Para and Marmala Waterfall, and a rain jacket or umbrella during the monsoon. Modest clothing is best for Kurisumala Ashram and the shrine at Thangal Para.

Can I combine Vagamon with Munnar or Alleppey?

Yes. Vagamon combines well with a houseboat night in Alleppey or a couple of nights in Munnar or Thekkady. Share your dates and the places you want to add, and we will send a revised itinerary and quotation for the longer trip.
