4 Nights 5 Days Kerala Tour Package
Overview
Tea hills, wildlife, spice gardens and backwaters – the four Kerala experiences most first-time visitors ask for – fit neatly into this five-day loop from Cochin. The 4 nights 5 days Kerala tour package spends two nights in Munnar's tea country, one in Thekkady on the edge of Periyar Tiger Reserve and one on a deluxe houseboat in Alleppey, then brings you back to Cochin for your journey home.
Munnar sightseeing covers Mattupetty Dam, with optional boating, a tea factory, the Tea Museum and Echo Point. In Thekkady you visit Periyar National Park, where you can add a boat safari or bamboo rafting at your own cost, then walk through the spice plantations and browse the local market for cardamom, pepper and tea. On day four you cruise the Alleppey backwaters past paddy fields and village life before a night moored on the water.
The tour suits couples, families and friends who want a rounded first look at Kerala in under a week. You stay in 3-star hotels and a houseboat with breakfast every day, travel in a private vehicle, and start and finish in Cochin, so flights in and out are simple to book.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best time to take this 5-day Kerala tour?
September to March is the most pleasant period, with cool days in Munnar and Thekkady and calm water in Alleppey. The monsoon from June to August makes the hills very green and quieter, but heavy rain can slow the drives and cut short boat rides at Periyar.
How is this different from a Munnar and Alleppey trip?
It adds a night in Thekkady. That gives you Periyar Tiger Reserve, with the option of a boat safari or bamboo rafting, and a walk through the cardamom and pepper plantations around Kumily. The rest of the route – two nights in Munnar and a houseboat night in Alleppey – stays the same.
Will I see tigers at Periyar?
Tiger sightings at Periyar are rare, as the big cats keep to the dense forest. On the optional boat safari you are more likely to see elephants, gaur, sambar deer, wild boar and plenty of birds along the lake shore, especially early in the day.
Is the houseboat air-conditioned?
Yes, but only at night: the air-conditioning runs from 9 PM to 6 AM, and extra charges apply if you want it for longer. During the day most guests sit out on the open deck while the boat cruises past paddy fields and villages.
Is this package suitable for families with children?
Yes. Each long drive is broken up with sightseeing, the pace is relaxed and the houseboat night is usually a favourite with children. Families who need an extra bed or a second room can ask for a revised quotation before booking.
What is not included in the price?
Lunch and dinner, entry tickets, the optional Mattupetty boating, Periyar boat safari or bamboo rafting, houseboat air-conditioning outside 9 PM–6 AM, flights or trains and personal expenses are not included. The price covers stays, daily breakfast, private transfers and the listed sightseeing, including GST.
