Blissful Mount Abu Tour Package with Udaipur & Jodhpur (6N/7D)
Overview
This is a one-way Rajasthan tour taking you to three very different destinations: the Blue City of Jodhpur, the cool hill station of Mount Abu and the lake city of Udaipur. You'll spend two nights in Jodhpur, where you'll see the Umaid Bhawan Palace, the imposing Mehrangarh Fort, the marble Jaswant Thada, the Clock Tower bazaar, Mandore Garden and the Rao Jodha Desert Rock Park, which lies below the fort walls.
From the desert, the road climbs up into the Aravalli Hills to Mount Abu (Rajasthan's only hill station). Two nights there will give you time to do Sunset Point, the boat ride on Nakki Lake, Toad Rock, Achalgarh Fort, Peace Park, the old Mirpur Temple and a nature walk in the Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary. On the way out, you visit the Dilwara Jain Temples (some of the finest marble carving in India) and the adjacent Lal Mandir.
The final two nights are in Udaipur (City Palace, Sajjangarh (Monsoon) Palace, Vintage Car Museum, Jag Mandir and a sunset cruise on Lake Pichola). This is a route that works very well for couples and families and for those who are returning to Rajasthan as it strikes a good balance between palaces and forts and the cooler hill air and quiet lakes. You're staying in 3-star hotels with breakfast every day, travelling by private vehicle, and you finish in Udaipur, so there's no long drive back.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best time for a Mount Abu, Udaipur and Jodhpur tour?
Oct to March is the best time for the whole route, with pleasant days in Jodhpur and Udaipur and cool clear evenings in Mount Abu. The monsoon (July to September) turns Mount Abu green and misty and fills the lakes. April to June is very hot on the plains.
Why does the tour start in Jodhpur and end in Udaipur?
Running the route one way eliminates the need for backtracking (Jodhpur to Mount Abu and Mount Abu to Udaipur are both a fairly straightforward half-day drive). You fly or take the train into Jodhpur and out of Udaipur, and our driver will deal with all the transfers in between.
Is this tour suitable for families with children or older travellers?
Yes, the drives are broken up with two night stays, and most of the sights can be done with just a short walk. There's a lift available for part of the climb at Mehrangarh Fort and the wildlife sanctuary walk on day 4 can be kept very short. Just let us know if anyone has any mobility issues and we'll structure the days accordingly.
Which boat rides are included?
Two boat trips are included in the package: one on Nakki Lake in Mount Abu on day 4 and one on Lake Pichola in Udaipur on day 6. Monument, museum and sanctuary entry tickets are not included in the package unless specifically stated in your quotation.
Do I need warm clothes for Mount Abu?
From Nov to Feb (yes). Mount Abu is at 1,200m, so the nights in Dec and Jan can be quite cold (near freezing) even though Jodhpur and Udaipur would be quite mild. A light jacket is quite sufficient for the rest of the year.
Can I add more nights or upgrade the hotels?
Yes, you can go up to 4-star or heritage hotels, add a night in any of the three cities, or extend the trip to Ranakpur or Kumbhalgarh. Just let us know your dates and preferences, and we'll send you a revised quotation.
