Golden Triangle Tour with Taj Mahal – Delhi, Agra and Jaipur (5N/6D)
Overview
Six days give the Golden Triangle room to breathe. This round trip from Delhi spends two full days in the capital: the first on New Delhi's monuments – India Gate, Humayun's Tomb, the Qutub Minar and the Lotus Temple – and the second in Old Delhi, where you see Jama Masjid, Raj Ghat and the walls of the Red Fort, and can ride a cycle-rickshaw through the lanes of Chandni Chowk before an evening at Connaught Place.
In Agra you see the Taj Mahal twice: at sunset from the Mehtab Bagh gardens across the Yamuna, and up close at sunrise the next morning. Touring Agra Fort and the marble inlay workshops, as well as confectionaries in the city, fills the first evening. Travelling to Jaipur takes a stop at Fatehpur Sikri, the red sandstone capital built by Emperor Akbar, and an optional trip to Chand Baori, an impressive stepwell. In Jaipur, you spend a whole day visiting Amber Fort, Jal Mahal, City Palace, Jantar Mantar, and Hawa Mahal.
This tour is ideal for first-timers, family tours, and older tourists who like relaxed tours. Tourists sleep in 3-star hotels where breakfast is provided daily. Private transport is used for the entire tour, and on the final day, you travel back to Delhi by car in order to leave Delhi Airport. A drop in Jaipur is also possible if that suits your onward plans.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is this 6-day tour different from the 5-day Golden Triangle tour?
This version adds a full day in Old Delhi – Jama Masjid, Raj Ghat, the Red Fort and Chandni Chowk – plus an evening in Agra's markets, and it is a round trip that brings you back to Delhi. The 5-day tour covers New Delhi in one afternoon and ends in Jaipur.
When do we see the Taj Mahal?
Twice. On day three, you view it at sunset from Mehtab Bagh, the garden situated on the opposite bank of the river Yamuna, while on day four, you view it at sunrise when it is less crowded and the light is softer. The Taj Mahal closes on Fridays; therefore, we schedule your tour days accordingly.
Do we go inside the Red Fort?
The itinerary includes a view of the Red Fort from outside. For those who wish to go inside, inform us at the time of booking, and we will schedule it within the Old Delhi sightseeing tour, provided that the fort does not remain closed on Mondays. The ticket charges are separate.
Which is the best time for this Golden Triangle tour?
The months between October and March are comfortable for this tour due to dry and mild weather conditions suitable for visiting monuments. There may be thick fog in the mornings of December and January in Delhi and Agra, and it may slightly affect the views during the sunrise at the Taj Mahal. April to June is very hot, and the months of July to September are rainy.
Where does this tour end, in Delhi or Jaipur?
The tour will end as a round trip, so on day six you will be driven back to Delhi, which is located at a distance of about five hours from Jaipur, and dropped either at the airport or railway station of Delhi. In case you are leaving from Jaipur or heading to Rajasthan, you can request a Jaipur drop instead.
Is the Chandni Chowk rickshaw tour included?
No, the cycle rickshaw trip in Chandni Chowk is optional and costs locally. This is one of the easiest ways of getting around Spice, Silver, and Wedding Card streets of Old Delhi that cannot be reached by car. We can arrange that for you the same day.
