Overview
This is a six-day Rajasthan escape for couples who would rather hang about than rush. It starts with an easy arrival in Jaipur (afternoon to settle in and wander the bazaars of the Pink City), a day at the City Palace, the honeycomb of the Hawa Mahal and the Jantar Mantar observatory. The road then heads SW to Udaipur (the City of Lakes) where you spend the final three nights.
Udaipur is the setting for the rest of the trip. You see the City Palace rising above Lake Pichola and the fountains and lotus pools of Saheliyon ki Bari. A boat ride on Lake Pichola is included in the package. Day 5 is deliberately left free for you to sit by Fateh Sagar Lake, book a spa (optional, at extra cost) or arrange a candlelight dinner overlooking the lake (optional, at extra cost).
With just one hotel change and one long drive, the pace is ideal for honeymooners, anniversaries and anyone who wants to experience the palaces of Rajasthan at a relaxed pace. You're staying in 3-star hotels with breakfast each morning and travelling in a private vehicle. You're picked up in Jaipur, and on the final day you can be dropped back in Jaipur or at Udaipur airport if you're flying home from there.

Tour Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival in Jaipur and Relaxation
- Arrive in Jaipur, where our driver meets you at the airport or railway station, and your trip through Rajasthan begins.
- Check in to your hotel and spend the afternoon at leisure after the journey.
- Later, take a relaxed stroll through the nearby bazaars, or simply rest and settle into the slower pace of the Pink City. Overnight stay in Jaipur.

Day 2 Jaipur City Exploration
- After breakfast, set out to see the landmarks of the old walled city.
- Visit the City Palace, part of which is still home to Jaipur's former royal family, with its courtyards, gateways and museum galleries.
- Stop at Hawa Mahal, the five-storey 'Palace of Winds', built so royal women could watch street life without being seen.
- See Jantar Mantar, the 18th-century astronomical observatory listed by UNESCO, with its giant stone instruments.
- Spend the evening as you like, with time for the city's cafés or a rooftop view at dusk. Overnight stay in Jaipur.

Day 3 Scenic Drive from Jaipur to Udaipur
- After breakfast, check out and begin the drive to Udaipur, the City of Lakes (about 395 km, 6–7 hours).
- The highway runs through the Rajasthan countryside towards the Aravalli hills, with stops for tea and lunch along the way.
- On arrival, check in to your hotel in Udaipur and take the evening easy after the drive. Overnight stay in Udaipur.

Day 4 Udaipur Sightseeing and Boat Ride
- After breakfast, start your tour of Udaipur's best-known sights.
- Visit the City Palace, a complex of palaces, courtyards and balconies on the eastern shore of Lake Pichola.
- Walk through Saheliyon ki Bari, the 'Garden of the Maidens', with its fountains, lotus pools and marble pavilions.
- Later, enjoy the boat ride on Lake Pichola that is included in your package, seeing the palaces and ghats from the water. Overnight stay in Udaipur.

Day 5 Leisure and Romance in Udaipur
- Spend the day at your own pace – there is no fixed sightseeing today.
- Relax by Fateh Sagar Lake, where the lakeside promenade is a favourite with locals for evening walks.
- Book a spa session at a resort for a slow afternoon (optional, at extra cost).
- End the day with a candlelit dinner overlooking the lake (optional, at extra cost). Overnight stay in Udaipur.

Day 6 Departure
- Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and check out from your hotel.
- Drive back to Jaipur (about 6–7 hours) for your drop at Jaipur airport or railway station.
- If you are flying home from Udaipur instead, get dropped at Udaipur airport for your onward journey.

Payment Policy
- An advance payment is required to secure your booking; the balance is paid as per the schedule in your booking confirmation.
- Your booking is only confirmed once the itinerary has been agreed, the advance has been received and Luxe Trail Holidays have sent you a written confirmation.
- Full payment may be required at the time of booking for peak season dates, special hotel rates and certain activities.
- If payment is not received by the due date, the booking is subject to the relevant cancellation terms.
- Package price is per person sharing and includes GST.

- Cancellation charges will vary depending on when we receive your request, the hotel and transport supplier policies and any peak season restrictions. The applicable charges are shared with your quotation.
- Refunds are processed once the relevant suppliers approve them, so timelines can vary.
- Refunds are made to the original payment method or another method agreed with you.
- Non-refundable amounts, supplier fees and bank or payment-processing charges may be deducted.
- If a service cannot be provided because of weather, road closures, government orders or other events beyond our control, a refund or an alternative arrangement is offered as per the supplier's terms.
Policy & Important Terms
- Every traveller must have a valid government photo ID (Aadhaar, passport, voter ID or driving licence). Foreign nationals will need a passport with a valid Indian visa.
- The Lake Pichola boat ride is subject to weather, water levels and the operator's timings.
- The spa treatment and candlelit dinner on day 5 are optional and are booked on request at an additional cost.
- The return drive from Udaipur to Jaipur on day 6 will take most of the day, so onward travel from Jaipur should be planned for the evening, or alternatively you can have the Udaipur airport drop.
- The order of the sightseeing may be altered due to traffic, weather, local events or monument opening times.
- The vehicle is provided for the routes in the itinerary. Any additional trips or detours are charged separately.
- Standard check-in and check-out times apply. Early check-in and late check-out are possible on a case-by-case basis (subject to availability).

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this Rajasthan package suitable for a honeymoon?
Yes, there's just one hotel change (a full free day in Udaipur), plus an included boat ride on Lake Pichola so the pace remains relaxed. A number of couples will opt for the optional candlelit dinner or a spa treatment on day 5, and we can arrange a room upgrade on request at an additional cost.
What is the best time to visit Jaipur and Udaipur?
October to March is the most comfortable time of year with nice days for visiting the palaces and cool evenings by the lakes. July to September is the monsoon season, which turns the hills around Udaipur a lovely green and fills the lakes, though of course some days will be wet. April to June is very hot.
Is the boat ride on Lake Pichola included?
Yes, there is a boat ride on Lake Pichola as part of the package. Monument entry tickets and camera fees are not included in the quotation unless stated. You can pay these at the gate, or we can include them in your package in advance.
How long is the drive from Jaipur to Udaipur?
Udaipur is 395km from Jaipur (a 6-7 hour drive in a private vehicle, with stops for tea and lunch along the way). The drive takes up most of day three, so the evening is left free for you to just rest after check-in.
Can the tour end in Udaipur instead of Jaipur?
Yes, on day six you can be dropped off at Udaipur airport rather than driving back to Jaipur (which would be a long road day if you're flying home). Just let us know when you book so that we can arrange the final transfer and your flight times accordingly.
Are the spa and candlelit dinner part of the price?
No, the package is breakfast only. The spa treatment and the candlelit dinner on day five are optional extras. We can book those in advance for you at a resort or lakeside restaurant of your choice and include the cost in your quote.
