Golden Triangle Tour India – Delhi, Agra and Jaipur (4N/5D)
Overview
This five-day Golden Triangle tour covers India's classic first-trip circuit – Delhi, Agra and Jaipur – in one direction, so you never retrace your route. You will be picked up in Delhi and spend your first afternoon sightseeing around New Delhi: India Gate, Qutub Minar, Humayun's Tomb and the Lotus Temple, including photo opportunities in Rashtrapati Bhavan and Parliament Street. The second day of the tour will be dedicated to sightseeing in Agra that is a four-hour drive away, visiting Agra Fort, the tomb of Itmad-ud-Daulah (Baby Taj), and sunset viewing of the Taj Mahal from Mehtab Bagh. The next morning, you see the Taj itself at sunrise, when the light is soft and the crowds are thinner, then drive to Jaipur by way of Fatehpur Sikri, Emperor Akbar's short-lived red sandstone capital, with an optional detour to the Chand Baori stepwell at Abhaneri.
Jaipur will give you a whole day at Amber Fort, Jal Mahal, the City Palace, Jantar Mantar, and Hawa Mahal, and you have your last morning to roam around in the markets. Because the tour ends in Jaipur, it suits travellers flying out of Jaipur or carrying on into Rajasthan, and a return drive to Delhi can be arranged instead. You stay in 3-star hotels with daily breakfast and travel by private vehicle throughout.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between 5-day and 6-day Golden Triangle tour?
This tour is a one-way trip from Delhi to Jaipur with one afternoon of New Delhi sightseeing, so it suits travellers short on time or heading further into Rajasthan. In the 6-day tour, you get to visit the old delhi in which you can witness Jama Masjid, Raj Ghat, the Red Fort, and Chandni Chowk, and it is planned as a round trip from Delhi.
When is the best time for a Golden Triangle trip?
The best time is between October and March. It’s very pleasant as the weather is pleasant and dry. There might be thick fog in the mornings in Delhi and Agra from late December to January, and that might affect the sunrise view of the Taj Mahal and make an early drive tough. April to June is extremely hot weather, while July to September is monsoon season.
Does the package include admission tickets to the Taj Mahal?
No. Monument ticket and camera fees, including the Taj Mahal, are not included in the package. You can buy them at the gate or online, or we can add them to your package in advance. Remember that the Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays.
Can the tour end in Delhi instead of Jaipur?
Yes. On day 5, you can opt for a return drive from Jaipur to Delhi, which takes about 5 hours, instead of the drop at Jaipur airport or railway station. Tell us when you book so the final day and your quotation reflect it.
How long are the drives on this tour?
Delhi to Agra takes about 4 hours on the expressway. The travel duration from Agra to Jaipur is estimated at around 5 hours by road, in addition to the time spent visiting Fatehpur Sikri and an optional stop at Chand Baori. Every trip is in private transport, giving you flexibility to halt for tea/coffee/photos/short breaks at any time.
Would you recommend this tour for a first-time visitor to India?
Certainly. This tour offers visits to the most popular tourist places in Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur over a span of 5 days, with airport, train station, and inter-city transfers in private transport. You can also slow down the pace of travel by adding a day either in Agra or Jaipur.
