5 Nights 6 Days Kashmir Tour
Overview
This 5 nights 6 days Kashmir tour fits Srinagar, Gulmarg, Pahalgam and Sonamarg into six days, with a night each in Gulmarg and Pahalgam rather than quick day visits. It opens with an evening shikara ride on Dal Lake, then heads to Gulmarg via Tangmarg and its apple orchards for a ride on the Gulmarg Gondola, with optional extras such as a pony ride up to Khilanmarg.
From Gulmarg you drive to Pahalgam by way of the Awantipora ruins and the saffron fields, with Aru Valley, Betaab Valley and Chandanwari open to you by local taxi. Back in Srinagar you see the Mughal Gardens of Chashme Shahi, Nishat Bagh and Shalimar Bagh, and day five is a full excursion along the Sindh River to Sonamarg, the "Meadow of Gold", where a pony or local taxi can take you on to Thajiwas Glacier.
The tour suits travellers who want four of Kashmir's best-known destinations on a moderate budget, without rushing each one. You stay in 3-star hotels or a houseboat on double occupancy with breakfast every morning, travel by private vehicle, and are met and dropped at Srinagar airport by our representative.
