Kashmir 6 Days Honeymoon Package (5N/6D)
Overview
This Kashmir 6 days honeymoon package gives couples a little of everything the valley offers: a night on a Dal Lake houseboat, a night each in Gulmarg and Pahalgam, and a final day out to Sonamarg. You are welcomed on the houseboat with a cup of traditional kahwa, spend the afternoon in the Mughal Gardens and end the first day with a romantic shikara ride on Dal Lake.
Day two takes you to Gulmarg, the "meadow of flowers", where you see the 18-hole Gulmarg Golf Course at the foot of the ski slopes and, in the snow season, can try skiing. From there you drive to Pahalgam with stops at the Awantipora ruins and the saffron fields, then return to Srinagar the next day, with the option of Aru, Betaab and Chandanwari by local taxi before you leave. Day five is an excursion to Sonamarg, the "meadow of gold", an alpine valley on the Sindh River where fishing and pony rides are optional extras.
The plan suits newly married couples who want variety – lake, snow, meadows and river – in under a week. You stay in 3-star properties on double occupancy with breakfast every morning, travel by private vehicle, and are picked up and dropped at Srinagar airport.

Frequently Asked Questions
What makes this 6-day Kashmir honeymoon different?
It's four settings in six days: first night on a houseboat on Dal Lake, then a night in Gulmarg (in the ski area and the meadows), a night in Pahalgam and a full day out to Sonamarg on the Sindh River. You finish off with two nights in a hotel in Srinagar which is a very easy, relaxed way to finish.
Can we ski in Gulmarg on this package?
Yes, in the snow season (roughly December to March) Gulmarg is one of India's most famous ski areas. Beginners can of course take a lesson with an instructor on the easier slopes. Ski equipment and instructor fees are all confirmed in your quotation. Outside of the snow season day two is spent on the meadows and at the golf course.
When is the best time for a Kashmir honeymoon?
It depends on what you're after really. Dec to March is all about snow in Gulmarg and the opportunity to ski. Apr to Jun is all about the green meadows, the gardens in flower and the lovely days in Pahalgam and Sonamarg. Sep and Oct are clear and calm and the saffron fields come into flower in late Oct.
Is the houseboat stay included?
Yes, your first night is on a houseboat on Dal Lake (you're greeted with a cup of kahwa and then a shikara ride in the evening). The rest of the nights are in 3 star hotels in Gulmarg, Pahalgam and Srinagar (all on double occupancy with breakfast).
Are the pony ride and fishing in Sonamarg included?
No, the pony ride in Sonamarg is optional and you pay the operator directly for that. Fishing in the Sindh river is a summer activity and you will need an angling permit for that (this is not included in the package). You can of course just walk the meadows and the river banks at no extra cost.
Can you add a special touch for our honeymoon?
Yes we can provide flower decoration, a cake or a candlelit dinner (all at additional cost) and where possible we can upgrade your houseboat or hotels. Just let us know your dates and requirements and we'll send you a revised quotation.
