Goa Monsoon Tour Package – Wellness Retreat & Luxury Stay (5N/6D)

6 Days / 5 Nights

Overview

This Goa monsoon tour package is all about the other side of the state that most beach holidays never get to see. From June through to September, the rains turn the interior a deep green, the waterfalls of the Western Ghats are full, and life moves at a far more relaxed pace. You're going to be trading beach shacks for forest trails, plantation walks, natural cascades and the kind of slow mornings you don't get on a beach holiday. One full day is set aside for rest and self-care.

After a relaxed arrival day, you head inland to Tambdi Surla, where a Kadamba-era temple of basalt stone stands at the foot of the Western Ghats, then walk the forest with an expert naturalist and cool off in a natural cascade. Day three is your wellness day: Ayurveda therapies, sound healing, yoga, rain meditation decks and spa treatments are optional, paid experiences, so you choose as much or as little as you like. Day 4 is a café trail through the contemporary food scene of Goa and day 5 takes you to an eco-resort in Dabal for plantation walks with a local guide, a waterfall swim and a sensory spice trail.

The package is ideal for couples, solo travellers and anyone looking for a quieter, greener Goa. You stay at a 3-star property on double occupancy with breakfast every morning, travel in a private vehicle, and are picked up and dropped off at Goa airport or railway station.

Frequently Asked Questions

When is the best time to take this Goa monsoon package?

The package is centred around the monsoon in Goa (roughly June to September) when the Western Ghats are at their greenest, and the forest waterfalls are at their full flow. Very heavy rain can at times make access to certain trails or waterfalls impossible, so it's worth having a degree of flexibility in your plans and being prepared for wet weather.

Are the spa and wellness therapies included in the price?

No. On the wellness day, the Ayurveda treatments, sound healing, yoga, the rain meditation decks, the reading lounge and the spa therapies are all optional and are charged separately. The package price covers your stay, daily breakfast, transfers and the itinerary activities. Tell us which experiences you want, and we can add them to your quotation.

Which meals are included in this package?

Breakfast is included every day and on day 5 it's a traditional local breakfast at the Dabal eco-resort. Lunch and dinner are not included so the Goan lunch on the Tambdi Surla day and the buffet lunch at Dabal are all to be paid for separately unless your quotation states otherwise.

Do I need to be fit for the nature walks and waterfall visits?

Average fitness is all that's required. The walks at Tambdi Surla and Dabal are guided nature walks rather than treks and swimming at the cascades is entirely optional. Monsoon trails and rocks can be quite slippery, so wear shoes with good grip and let us know if you have any mobility issues prior to travel.

Can I add beach days or Goa sightseeing to this trip?

Yes, you can add in nights, swap the café day for North/South Goa day (sightseeing), or upgrade your room. The beaches are lovely to walk in during the rains, but water sports are suspended, and sea swimming is not safe during the monsoon months. Please let us know your dates, and we'll send you a revised quotation.
